Kinects Solutions Inc. was incorporated in July 2007 and given the mandate to provide electrical Utilities with cost-effective, reliable, and easy to implement Smart Grid products and solutions. Our products and solutions are based on over 95 years of experience, expertise and intellectual property developed by our parent company, Kinectrics Inc., formerly Ontario Hydro Technologies.

In less than two years Kinects developed (with Utilities input), tested (in the field with Utilities), and provided, by Thinking, Like Utilities™ a compliment of Smart Grid products designed to give Utilities tools that provide key performance metrics and the status of their power grid, which enables them to: inexpensively and automatically collect and analyze information for asset management initiatives, in near real-time monitor the electrical connectivity of their grid and identify where a grid interrupt state has occurred, and, through data collection, reconciliation and analysis generate the definitive information that identifies where revenue loss through illegal energy diversion has occurred and where energy is being used for illegal purposes like grow-ops.
